Q: I have a gold 1975 Kugerrand. What is the value?
A: The Gold Krugerrand was made for and still is used for trading of gold for gold’s value. The value of it depends on today’s gold prices and will rise and fall based on that.
If Gold is at $1500 per ounce, it would be worth $1500. When you buy it you will pay a small percentage over and when you sell it you will get small percentage under the gold value.
Q: I have a silver one Peso from the Philippines. It is from 1967 and was minted for the 25th anniversary of Bataan Day. Can you give me an idea of its value? It is close to uncirculated condition.
A: This coin doesn’t command any extra premium over the silver value, which would be around $17.00 at the moment.
Q: I have 2001-2005 Royal Mint proof sets of Queen Elizabeth II coins. They are in mint condition in cases w/books & original boxes. The coins range from one penny to five pounds. Can you tell me what these are worth & if they are worth holding on to?
A: They make a few different types, but they range between $20-$30. If you were looking to sell them the best thing to do would be to sell them on eBay because it is not a widely collected series of coins. It won’t make a big difference if you keep it or not. My suggestion is if you don’t care for them then sell them. If you like them then keep them until you need a little extra cash; then sell them.Click Here to ask your own questions about Coins & Collectibles!
