Even with hands free, people are still not paying full attention to driving. It's a start though. I still see many drivers holding cell phones, so they are not taking it seriously. I just don;t talk on my cell phone at all while driving. Phone calls, etc, can wait. Really...think about it folks!

3 years ago my son was permanently disables when a driver took his attention off driving to retrieve a dropped cell phone. It was only seconds, but he lost control and ran my son over on the side of the road where he was walking. I would be much happier if the laws were for "distracted driver" . That wqould cover cell phone use, distractive kids, reading the newspaper, doing crossword puzzles, putting on makeup, shaving, eating, and all the other things I have seen people do while driving.
