Obama deserves more respect

YourVoice: I have never seen people be as disrespectful to a President of the United States as Pres. Obama has been treated. I don't care if you voted for him or agree with his political beliefs; he is our President and deserves respect. Our country use to have respected, manners & civility for one another but sadly those traits are sorely missing and the majority of people act as if they are on a MTV reality show.

Too many people focusing on making Obama a 1-term president

YourVoice: You asked about the President as a zombie.... goes along with the disrespect this President has been shown throughout his administration. I think it is part of the campaign to make him a one term president. This appears to be more important to many politicians than solving the nation's problems. I would like to turn out all politicians who express this as their priority.

Thank you for your coverage

YourVoice: Channel 3 3 p.m. newscast stated President Obama visited Sunrise Manor to speak to the people. Thank you. It is a rare occasion Sunrise Manor is mentioned for anything even though it occupies a huge landmass of the Las Vegas Valley. Additionally, Sunrise Manor is in the shadows of Frenchman Mountain, NOT Sunrise Mountain. Thank you for the opportunity to speak on the subject of this valley’s real geography.

Congress and the president should reduce their salaries

YourVoice: The President tries to reduce the Federal deficit. Has anyone dare to suggest or think about asking all congress members (past and present)and the President to cut their salaries and retirements by 10-20% to help to cut the Federal deficit?
While on the subject, why don't all congressmen and the federal employees join in the Social Security system like rest of us?

Obama only supports unionized contractors

YourVoice: Obama says he is creating jobs by re-building America’s infrastructure. Really? The only construction company here in Vegas that get any of this work is Las Vegas Paving. They are union with strong political ties. How does that help all the other companies trying to compete? Fact: This is just one of the many problems facing the Vegas economy.

It's the Republicans' fault

YourVoice: Why air a comment by anyone from the Heritage Foundation? You realize they're an ultra-rightwing organization, right? Supported by extremely wealthy rightwing people? Google it. Uh, thats right, that would actually be INVESTIGATING, you can't do that. Your Faux News Lite, why report the facts?

Sure, lets exagerate the poverty numbers.

Let us all take the time to thank republicans for their supporting the agenda that brought us to this point. Every republican has spent our nation into huge debt, they then lose the White House, then they blame the next president, In theis case President Obama.

I as an Independent, blame Republicans. The way I see it Bush reminded me of the Captain of the Titanic. Plowing full speed ahead without a care in the world he ran us into an iceberg a blind man could have seen then when the American people replace him with a Captain who asks all the passengers to pick up a bucket and start bailing, the Republican passengers stand on deck with their hands folded, refusing to chip in and say, "See, I told you he would sink us." Let's not forget who slammed us into this iceberg to begin with. My advice? Pick up a bucket, get off your lazy behinds and start bailing!!
