Create pipeline from Pacific Ocean to create jobs
YourVoice: if the government wants to create jobs, then build a pipeline from pacific ocean to a desalination plant near the hoover dam, and get continuing fresh water for California, Arizona, and Nevada from lake mead. use the electricity from hoover dam to operate the plant. hundreds of jobs to build and permanent jobs thereafter to maintain.
The government talks a lot but no action unless it cost taxpayer

Congress should cut its own pay
YourVoice: Congress can cut our Social Security and Medicare benefits to help balance the budget, and they are always wanting us to tighten our belt, take a cut in wages, etc. have you ever heard Congress suggest that their retirement benefits or their lucrative health care program be cut to help balance the budget? I'm sure that Harry Reid and John Boehner and the rest of congress could get by just fine with A 5% CUT.
Maybe we, the people, should suggest it to them!!!!!!

Blame the Republicans in Congress
YourVoice: "It is not Congress that is creating the mess with the FAA. It is the republicans in Congress that are, once again, doing their best to destroy the lives of middle class Americans.
The republicans are delaying funding for the FAA, they're attempting to strip peoples right to collectively bargain. Republicans hate unions. Unions are full of middle class people. Republicans hate the middle class.
It amzes me that news casts continue to portray the republican position as if they have a valid point. They do not."

Thank the RepublicansWow. Imagine how bad things would be if the republicans hadn't introduced all of those jobs bills in the House. Or closed those tax loopholes which reward corporations for exporting American jobs. Or created benefits for corporations that actually manufacture goods in OUR country.
Oh, wait. You mean republicans HAVEN'T done any of those things?
Stop trying to spin this story so, "no one is to blame". It's very obvious to middle class America EXACTLY which party is prolonging our pain, it's the republicans.
"Staying the course" only benefits the wealthy on Wall Street, who are doing quite well after WE bailed them out with TARP under bushthejunior.
