Location:KSNV-TV, Channel 3, Las Vegas, Nevada
Position:Associate Producer
Shift:TBA
Typical Duties:
Write interesting news stories from wire copy, field reports and interviews
Assist newscast producers with all facets of show preparation
Field produce and edit news stories for reporters and newscast anchors
Make contacts and gather information about news issues and events in the Las Vegas area
Work with reporters, assignment editors and photographers to make sure KSNV completely, accurately and fairly covers news events
Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned
Requirements:
Experience with television news production and writing
Familiarity with ENG and SNG preferred
Ability to meet daily deadlines and work cooperatively with other staff members
Desire to ultimately work as a newscast producer
Experience editing news copy and videotape
Good phone etiquette
Newsroom computer experience preferred
Pass a pre-employment drug test
