Description:
News Three seeks an experienced newscast producer interested in hard news and politics. We may live in Las Vegas, but we’re all about substance. We want immediate writing, video that makes sense, intelligent graphics, and we want to own breaking news. If you dream of hanging out with celebrities and enjoying The Strip – do it on your free time. If you eat and breathe news, we want you. Looking for applicants with two years professional experience crafting newscasts. Newbies and “stackers” need not apply.
Typical Duties:
Write news copy, edit news copy, and occasionally edit videotape
Coordinate satellite feeds and oversee daily franchises
Responsible for graphic look of the newscast
Be aware of current events and contribute to daily editorial meetings
Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience producing television newscasts
Contribute story ideas daily in editorial meetings
Ability of make quick decisions
Must demonstrate sound news judgment and ability to work with others
Ability to meet required deadlines
