Sheila: Absolutely nothing in Scripture proclaims that one must show respect for a leader, but hold them accountable, speaking truth to power! If one thinks Jesus was a soft spoken and compliant respecter of authorities, perhaps you missed that whole little crucifixion thing that happened to him at the hands of Governor Pontius Pilate and King Herod and those High Priests, who were among the leaders He regularly referred to as hypocrites and vipers and dogs returning to their own vomit! So, let's get real and, oh, by the way, it's not a question of following the values under/by which one was reared that counts, since I suspect the children of Eva Braun and Adolf Hitler would've done things quite differently than the children of Ruth Bell and Billy Graham! So, the point is, one isn't to do as their parents taught them, but only as God taught them to do righteously, as per His Word, not theirs! Hi, Liz: It's Wednesday, so the July 6 video is not up yet. Just watched you make fun of politicians for getting the sources of their quotes wrong - thinking Decleration of Independence was preamble of Constitution, vice-versa, etc. While making fun of Bill Clinton for saying "of the people, by the people and for the people" was from the Constitution, you said "last time I checked, it was from the Declaration of Indepence." Oops. It's from the Gettysburg Address.
