An Arizona native and desert dweller at heart, Amber Dixon is thankful to be in Las Vegas.
Her training at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University landed her jobs as an anchor and reporter in Corpus Christi, Texas and Brownsville, Texas.
After nearly three years spent at the Texas/Mexico border, Amber is familiar with issues the Hispanic community faces. She speaks Spanish and credits that ability to her time spent living with a family in Chile while studying journalism at La Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.
Amber owns three dogs, (a boxer and two basset hounds) and can be found splashing around with them at Lake Mead. No longer near an ocean, she’s looking to replace her surfing hobby with a new water sport.
