Marissa Mike is a general assignment reporter for Channel 3.
She was born and raised in Southern California.
Marissa always wanted to experience the seasons, so she packed her bags and went to the east coast for college. She graduated from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Economics. There, she pursued her love for politics, economics, and journalism while participating in Harvard-Radcliffe Television.
Upon graduation, she worked in the Communication Department of Stanford University. Shortly after, she got a job at KABC-TV in Los Angeles. She worked behind-the-scenes, taking part in major productions such as the Emmy's, Oscars and various sporting events.
Marissa is used to the desert heat. Most recently, she worked in Palm Springs, CA as a reporter where she covered CoachellaFest, the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament.
When Marissa is not hard at work in the Channel 3 Newsroom, she enjoys playing the piano, training for her next triathlon, and reading a good book at the beach.
She is an avid sports fan. One of her favorite pastimes is cheering for her favorite California teams including the Lakers, Dodgers and the Chargers!
Marissa is very proud of her Filipino, African American, and Hispanic roots.
