LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas Metro police are accepting applications for the Factfinding Presiding Officer Panel as part of its new Police Fatality Public Factfinding Review process.
The Board of County Commissioners on January 7 adopted an ordinance revising County Code provisions relating to police involved deaths.
A new fact finding procedure was developed to take the place of the previous Coroner’s Inquest process. The new process will be referred to as the Police Fatality Public Factfinding Review process.
Each factfinding review will be presided over by a Presiding Officer. The Presiding Officer will be involved and oversee the entire factfinding review process.
