New York, NY – Camp Broadway, Broadway’s Original Summer Camp, announces its first session at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas with two of Camp Broadway’s signature programs for children ages 6 to 17.
“Camp Broadway is thrilled to welcome The Smith Center and the Las Vegas entertainment community to our family of presenters and theaters across the country,” said Susan E. Lee, founder of the Camp Broadway program, which has become a national brand that parents trust to provide their children with a meaningful and memorable theater arts experience. “With the popularity of the musical theater genre, performing arts centers, such as The Smith Center, are emerging as the primary source for young people to engage in and learn about Broadway.”
Camp Broadway (ages 10-17) includes five days of musical theater programming, June 11-15. Theater-loving kids ages 10-17 receive a Broadway experience taught by trained Broadway professionals as they learn scenes and songs from two classic rags-to-riches musicals, Oliver! (younger campers) and My Fair Lady (teen campers).
Shining Stars (ages 6-9) features five half days of musical theatre creative play from June 18-22. Shining Stars campers will be inspired by the Broadway classic, The King and I. Camp Broadway is open to kids of all skill levels; no previous experience is necessary. Both the Camp Broadway and Shining Stars programs culminate with a finale musical presentation for family and friends.
Program prices are set at $450 for Shining Stars and at $650 for Camp Broadway. Children are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited. For more information about Camp Broadway at The Smith Center, visit
