Tax bills for the over 727,000 parcels in Clark County are being mailed to property owners this week, according to the County Treasurer’s Office.
The taxes levied on all real property in the County for fiscal year 2012-2013 (which began July 1) total $1.4 billion, compared with $1.6 billion last fiscal year.
It is possible that some property owners may not receive either a tax bill or distribution statement. This usually happens in cases where the property has recently been purchased, or where a taxpayer has not notified the County of a mailing address change/correction.
If someone has not received a tax bill or statement by Aug. 1, they should call the Treasurer's Office at (702) 455-4323 to find out the amount due and request a bill. Property owners are responsible for paying their taxes on time, whether they have received their tax bill.
During the fiscal year, a taxpayer may check the status of their taxes at any time by going to
www.clarkcountynv.gov/treasurer, or by calling the 24-hour automated information system at (702) 455-4323.
