LAS VEGAS -- The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas
hopes to fill nearly 200 positions at a job fair Tuesday at the MGM Resorts International Culinary Academy of Las Vegas Events Center at 710 West Lake Mead Blvd., North Las Vegas, from 9 a.m. to noon.
CALV is seeking full-time culinary staff (cooks, stewards, lead stewards, and bartenders) and on-call extra board employees for banquets and catering (stewards, banquet porters, bar backs, bartenders, banquet servers and banquet cooks) for positions at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts.
Qualified applicants should bring a resume, dress for success and be prepared for an interview. Hiring managers will be present. Bartender candidates must be certified by the Bartenders Union, Local 165. Steward, banquet porter, and bar back positions require at least 6 months of hotel experience; all other positions require at least a year of hotel experience.
