Food 4 Less has teamed up with
Nevada Health Centers to offer low- to no-cost breast cancer screenings at selected Food 4 Less locations through the Centers’ Mammovan program.
The Nevada Health Center Mammovan is a mobile mammography van designed to travel to underserved areas of the state to provide mammogram screenings to geographically isolated and/or uninsured women who would otherwise not seek out the service on their own.
The program was made possible in part from a $10,000 grant from Food 4 Less to Nevada Health Centers.
The Mammovan will be offering breast cancer screenings at the following Food 4 Less locations throughout the year. The hours are 8:15 am to 3 pm for all store appearances.

The Mammovan targets women age 40 and over. The Mammovan also provides services for women under 40, who are physician referred. The Unit has provided more than 30,000 mammograms and diagnosed 113 women with breast cancer. Many of these women would not have been diagnosed if it were not for the Mammovan.

Food 4 Less’ partnership with Nevada Health Centers dates back to 2008 when the company first began its sponsorship of the Mammovan. Since then, the Mammovan has performed breast cancer screenings at several Food 4 Less stores in the greater Las Vegas area.
