LAS VEGAS -- The state introduced a new program to help homeowners facing foreclosure.

Nevada Attorney General Catherine Cortez-Masto announced the roll out of the Home Again Nevada Homeowner Relief Program.

The program is funded by the national mortgage settlement. That's the $25 billion agreement between the five biggest banks and more than 45 states.

The attorney general stressed the program is free.

“The intent of the program is a one stop shop we've brought all of our certified counselors together. To create a one stop shop to help homeowners who are distressed, " Cortez-Masto said.

Cortez-Masto says unlike some past programs. This one will exist until homeowners no longer need help. To start, call 1-855-457-4638.
