LAS VEGAS --
McCarran International Airport officials are preparing for the upcoming holiday season by encouraging local travelers to “Know Before You Go” by visiting www.mccarran.com
for departure terminal and parking information.
The Department of Aviation projects nearly 580,000 travelers will pass through McCarran from Wednesday, Nov. 21 through Monday, Nov. 26, with crowds peaking on Sunday, Nov. 25. Domestic travelers are asked to arrive at McCarran at least 90 minutes before their scheduled departure time, and allow even more time if they are opting to park in certain economy lots.
“We can’t stress enough how important it is for locals to ‘Know Before You Go’ when flying during this busy time of year,” said Randall H. Walker, director of the Clark County Department of Aviation. “With the opening of Terminal 3 just five months ago, much has changed at McCarran since last year’s holiday travel season. The most important things for our airport patrons to know are which terminal houses their airline and what is their best parking option. The time saved by being prepared could be the difference between getting out on time or missing a flight.”McCarran increased its parking
capacity with the construction of the new 6,000-space T3 parking garage. Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 parking garages offer Long-Term parking at a rate of up to $14 per day, as well as Valet parking for up to $21 per day.
Additionally, McCarran offers terminal-specific Economy parking at a rate of $10 per day.
