Monica Mapile was 18 when she was killed in a car crash on March 4, 2010. She was not wearing a seat belt when the accident happened. The Monica Mapile Foundation was created on Oct. 10, 2010 to raise awareness on the importance of seat belt safety.

The next session of the Nevada Legislature starts on February 4, 2013. It's almost a year away but petition organizers are using this time to raise awareness and gain support in trying to pass the primary seat belt law in the state of Nevada.

Seat belts save lives and primary law states have higher seat belt usage.

Visit this link for more information and to sign the petition to make Nevada a primary seat belt law state by 2013.
