Metro Crime Prevention Specialists will teach residents how to lower their risk at home -- from avoiding a potential firearm accidents to making it homes safer against burglary or home invasion.

According to Metro crime statistics, residential robberies increased 14 percent from 2012 to 2013. Also, there was a 7 percent rise in the number of registered handgun owners in Clark County last year, according to Metro’s Gun Registrations Detail.
