American Red Cross ‘Everyday Heroes’ nominations

Every day, ordinary people make extraordinary contributions by putting their needs aside to help others in our community. The American Red Cross is honored to salute these often unsung heroes.

For the eighth year, the American Red Cross “Everyday Heroes Awards” will recognize people in the Southern Nevada community who are nominated by their peers, to be recognized for their selfless acts.

A hero might be someone simply lending a helping hand or someone who saved a life.

Nomination categories include: adult Good Samaritan, firefighter, animal rescue, law enforcement, aquatics, medical professional, community impact, military, community service, youth Good Samaritan, international service.

Nominations are being accepted now through July 11.

The awards will be held at the Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23.
