WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Cuisinart is recalling its 7-cup food processors because users can get hit in the face with broken parts.

The reversible slicing shredding disc can come loose and the blade can strike and break the food processor's cover.

Pieces of the broken cover can then fly into a consumers’ face.

The food processors were sold nationwide and online from October 2012 through June.
