LAS VEGAS -
The Clark County School District will begin offering summer school instruction on Monday.
Taking classes during the summer provides middle and high school students with the opportunity to make up missed credits through "credit retrieval" or get ahead by taking advantage of the courses offered, allowing students to expand upon their academic goals.
"Summer school is an important part of the academic calendar," said Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky. "Taking advantage of the education opportunities offered during the summer can have a great impact on student success. Summer opportunities also allow our seniors who are missing credits to make up classes and graduate in August.
"The District's summer initiatives provide the perfect chance for students to catch up or move ahead."
