LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- A sign of times and it is out with the old and in with the new.

A 60-year staple in Las Vegas is officially switching names. The Sahara was the second oldest hotel left on what is now called the Las Vegas Strip.

The location was once a selling point, but the north end has been struggling in recent years.

News 3's Elizabeth Donatelli has more on what happened today and the new optimism on that stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard.
