This is such a waste of taxpayer's money. I myself as a veteran of over nine years, adheres to the same justice system as anyone else. Veterans that have committed criminal acts are an embarrassment to us other Veterans that have continued to hold that Integrity and Honor is the most important traits. As a former Military Policeman and Military Criminal Investigator, I know that most of these Veterans that commit criminal acts in the civilian world were most likely have committed criminal acts in the military. They should not receive special treatment. Only those whose mental state has been compromised by war should have considerations, but those issues are already addressed in a Normal court setting. Money is being wasted on this Veteran Court when it could be used to increase staffing and decrease the criminal case backlog that plagues the Las Vegas courts today.
