Las Vegas Metro detectives are asking the public’s help to locate wanted suspect Javier Reyes who is considered armed and dangerous.
Reyes on December 29, 2012, LVMPD officers responded to the 6300 block of East Sahara Avenue reference an open 911 phone call in which screaming was heard in the back ground. Reyes is said to have arrived at an ex-girlfriend’s home, where he struck her several times. He later armed himself with a firearm and continued to threaten her. He was last seen running from the scene prior to officers arriving.
LVMPD detectives located Reyes on Feb. 7 in the 10000 block of Delray Beach Avenue in north west Las Vegas. Reyes fled from detectives and broke a sliding glass door gaining entry into an elderly couple’s home.
Reyes took the victim’s car keys and drove away in their vehicle. Detectives last saw Reyes in the victim’s blue four door Hyundai Sonata with Nevada handicap plate PH72725.
Reyes is described as a Hispanic male, standing 5-foot-8, weighing 190 pounds, with a shaved head and brown eyes.
He has displayed violence in the past, and should be considered armed and dangerous.
