LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- The reality show featuring Las Vegas city employees will become a reality.

City council members voted 4 to 3 to pass the resolution that allows them to become reality TV stars.

“It's a waste of our time,” said Las Vegas City Councilman Bob Coffin who was one of three voting to keep the reality TV drama out of city hall.

However, it was not enough. The pilot got the green light Wednesday.

“It’s real simple for some little producer to get in the way and say ‘Hey Coffin why don’t you take on Stavros Anthony--fun to watch--well it isn't very long before you have all of this reality-actually nothing but falsity.”

Councilman Stavros Anthony--who voted yes--views it differently:

“I have complete trust that you're going to do a first class show on the city of Las Vegas,” Stravos said.

The Discovery Channel's Michael Masland successfully sold the council on the pilot.

“I think this is an opportunity for the city of Las Vegas to say ‘here's who we are--here's what we're doing to improve our community,’” Masland said.

The working title of the show is “Vegas 24-7.” The mayor, city council, and city employees will be the stars and the city would make $5,000 an episode if a network picks it up.
