LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County School District and the Clark County Education Association have reached a tentative agreement for a contract for the 2013-2014 school year. The tentative agreement is subject to ratification by the CCSD Board of Trustees and CCEA membership.
“We are glad to have a tentative agreement in place before the beginning of the school year to provide our teachers with peace of mind as they start their work in the classroom,” said CCSD Board of Trustees President Carolyn Edwards.
“This agreement is a continuation of the growing collaboration between the district and CCEA, and we believe it will enhance education for the district's 312,000 students and their teachers,” said Vikki Courtney, CCEA president.
The two parties have tentatively agreed to a one-year contract concerning salary and working conditions. Both sides are also committed to long-term health care options for all District employees.
