NORTH LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- Clark County School District police are searching for three suspects in a brutal attack on three high school boys.
It happened in broad daylight Friday at the parking lot of Canyon Springs High School.
Police say the three victims were at a senior breakfast when they were struck numerous times with a gun by a group of six people they did not know.
Police arrested Nicholas Johnson and Katario Miller, both 19, along with a juvenile. They are looking for three other suspects.
A victim’s mother, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said one victim went to the intensive care unit for brain swelling and another had staples put in his head.
She said it could have been much worse.
“It's hard to deal with because the gun jammed,” she said. “And all I can say is thank God the gun jammed because we could be planning a funeral for one of these boys. Thank god we have all three of them here.”
The suspects face multiple felony charges including robbery, battery and possession of a dangerous weapon on school property.
