LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- A Nigerian immigrant who prosecutors failed to convict twice after charging him in the death of a toddler is suing Clark County for $10 million.
Victor Fakoya and his attorney announced the civil rights lawsuit filing this afternoon.
Fakoya spent more than two years behind bars and went through two trials before being acquitted in December 2010.
The suit claims the county violated Fakoya's right to be with his family when prosecutors charged him again in family court.
The county has not responded to the suit.
