LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- One day after the Clark County Commission unanimously voted to abolish his office, Las Vegas Constable John Bonaventura says his fight is far from over.
Bonaventura said Wednesday that he is optimistic a District Court judge will reverse the commission's decision.
He insists their decision is personal in retaliation for the controversies surrounding his office.
Bonaventura and his attorney say commissioners took action before conducting a required public finding.
An injunction hearing is set for the end of April.
Commissioners say their vote was strictly about better business.
