LAS VEGAS (KSVN & MyNews3) -- The Clark County Coroner has determined that Leah Foreman, the wife of a man who committed suicide by jumping off the Hoover Dam bridge, died from heart disease and chronic bronchitis.
The 40-year-old woman was found in her home dead on July 13 when Coroner’s Office was trying to inform next-of-kin on Friday by calling on the home of Jacob Gerard Foreman, who committed suicide Thursday, July 12 by jumping from the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge.
The Coroner’s Office became concerned when no one could be reached at the house – located on Sail Rock Place – and called North Las Vegas Police, Coon said.
Police officers were conducting a welfare check at 10 p.m. Friday at Foreman’s home where they discovered the body of a 39-year-old woman, Coon said. There were no obvious signs of foul play, meaning no obvious signs of injury or struggle, Coon said.
Foreman, 39, died from multiple blunt-force injuries after committing suicide by jumping off the Hoover Dam bypass bridge, according to the Coroner’s Office.
Hoover Dam Police and Metro police spent about two hours trying to dissuade Foreman from killing himself. Foreman jumped from the Nevada side of the bridge about 12:30 p.m. Thursday, hitting rocks before his body fell into the Colorado River.
