LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- One might think fears from what happened on that carnival cruise could mean troubled waters for cruise sales, but some local travel agencies might just cash in big because of it all.
Some Las Vegas travel agents say all the media coverage of cruises in crisis seems to bring in more customers wanting to set sail.
“We have not seen any difference in business when incidents like this happen,” says Kevin Allen, who owns Cruise Holidays.
He adds that cruise sales might even spike because of Carnival's troubles. That's just what happened a year ago when Costa Concordia crashed off Italy's coast.
Sales at Prestige Travel and Cruises are steady as well, according to marketing director
Maria Ruiz.
Ruiz says cruise ships may start slashing their prices to make up for the highly publicized mishap and make sure folks continue to hop on board.
