LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public’s help in tracking down the person or people responsible for displaying mannequins last month from three valley billboards.
Metro’s Dispatch Center was notified by a valley driver around 1:47 a.m. that a mannequin had been suspended from a billboard near the area of Interstate 15 and D Street. A subsequent investigation which involved Metro and the Nevada Highway Patrol revealed similar vandalism had taken place at billboards near the intersections of I-15 and Desert Inn Road and I-515 and Sahara Avenue.
The Graffiti Investigation Section of the LVMPD Gang Crimes Bureau has assumed this investigation. At this time significant amounts of evidence have been recovered, however no suspects have been arrested.
The mannequins were extremely light weight, and appear to have been homemade. Their origin may be the key in solving these crimes.
Anyone with any information concerning this criminal activity is urged to contact the LVMPD Gang Crimes Bureau at (702) 828-3309 or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or at
