LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) – While the New Year’s celebration remained orderly, according to a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department release, a man was arrested early Tuesday for a disturbance inside Circus Circus.

Manuel Garciahill, 20, of North Las Vegas was taken into custody by casino security officers with the assistance of two tourists, and is to be charged with assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed weapon. There were no injuries reported in this incident.

Elsewhere, a man in the northeast portion of the valley was injured when a round believed to be fired in celebration of the new year struck him while he was inside of his mobile home. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Downtown Area Command, which covers the Fremont Street Experience, had approximately 10 misdemeanor arrests. There have been 10 DUI arrests, and one misdemeanor traffic citation associated with the New Year’s Eve celebration.

Also, there were six arrests from within the Strip corridor; two of which were for domestic violence.

agree with you on by standers helping instead of just watching. Every year without fail idiots go out and shoot gun and someone gets killed or injured. Thoes fools should not have guns. Most gun owners are responsible and have enough sense to know the bullet is going to come down and hit something or someone. If they don't have enough brains to know that especially when warned every year, then the guns should be taken.

Glad to see that bystanders were willing to help security, there are times when you need to assist those in need.
