LAS VEGAS -- A line of cars leaving Las Vegas motor speedway this morning signaling the end of three days of glow sticks and music at the Electric Daisy Carnival. This latest festival is being called the most successful ever in Las Vegas.
Organizers say the Las Vegas event just gets bigger and better every year.
Even police and emergency personnel would agree with that assessment.
The three-day event sold out again this year and that means 345,000 tickets were purchased.
Many of the attendees this year coming from other states and even from other countries.
News 3 spoke to police and fire today and they both credit Insomniac Productions with excellent planning.
Metro reports 49 felony arrests related to narcotics over the course of the weekend.
Medically speaking there were very few serious incidents and most were heat related.
There were 80 paramedics who strolled throughout the grounds. They even had a mini emergency hospital set up at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and in the end only 11 people had to be transported to a hospital.
About half of those were staff members who had been out in the sun working all day.
