Embattled assemblyman may have had extra security

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- The drama involving embattled state lawmaker Steven Brooks continues to unfold.

The latest twist is there are allegations an armed Las Vegas Constable’s deputy offered Brooks protection in Carson City, something that office has no authority to do.

The Constable’s Office denies ever offering brooks protection in Carson City.

Brooks' attorney tells a very different story.

The Las Vegas Sun reports that this latest incident of alleged improper behavior has some commissioners looking at getting rid of the constables office.

It quoted Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani, who said the office was a source of "never-ending problems."

Brooks was arrested for threatening Speaker Marilyn Kirkpatrick. He was pulled over with a gun after make the threat Saturday in North Las Vegas.

Brooks also may have threatened Assembly Majority Leader William Horne.

Horne told News 3 that he knew Brooks wasn't happy with him, believing he'd betrayed him in some way.

It APPEARS that SOMEONE is living in their own Fantasy World. The NEXT thing is there will be Claims of Alien Abductions from a Secret place somewhere out in the Desert riding Snowmobiles.
