LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- A fallen police officer is being remembered by local students.

Raul Elizondo Elementary School is named after a 27-year-old North Las Vegas officer who was killed back in January of 1995.

Every year kids on that campus set aside one day to learn about who he was and how he died.

News 3's Denise Rosch takes a look.
