NORTH LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- A father and daughter are dead after what appears to be a murder-suicide early Sunday morning.

North Las Vegas police report that shots were fired shortly after 5 a.m. in a home in the 4100 block of Hollis Street, near Craig Road and Commerce Street.

Officers found a 52-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman inside the home suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

They were both pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.

A preliminary investigation indicated the family was in a heated argument during the night. The man reportedly grabbed a gun and shot his 25-year-old daughter before turning the gun on himself.

Two other adult family members were home, but neither suffered injury.

The identity and official cause of death of the two will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
