LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3.com) -- There were no injuries early Sunday morning as a fire caused an estimated $250,000 damage at an auto repair shop.
Las Vegas firefighters responded to the Quick Lube & Tune at 2424 N. Jones Blvd at 12:23 a.m. Sunday after someone reported smoke coming from the business.
On arrival, flames and smoke were showing from the one-story wood frame/stucco shop. Firefighters forced their way into the closed business by cutting large holes in the garage doors on the building. Once inside firefighters had the fire extinguished in just a few minutes.
There was heat and smoke damage throughout the business with heavy fire damage to the bottom of the roof. Two vehicles inside the business were also destroyed.
The exact cause of the fire is undetermined. Fire investigators believe the fire started in an area of the business where computer equipment and electrical equipment such as battery chargers were located. Damage in that area was so extensive that an exact cause of the fire could not be determined.
