LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- An overnight fire tore through a home near Patrick Lane and Torrey Pines Drive in the southwest part of the valley, causing $750,000 in damage.

According to a release from the Clark County Fire Department, it took 48 firefighters about 90 minutes to put out the blaze in the 6400 block of Ponderosa Way, which broke out around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Crews from the Las Vegas and Clark County fire departments discovered that fire had already spread into the attic area and that the closest fire hydrant was 1,000 feet away.

Water supply issues were further complicated when a private vehicle ran over the large diameter supply line, causing it to burst.

Two people were displaced. One person received minor injuries.

Fire officials say the fire started in the garage and moved into the attic. They stayed throughout the early morning hours to watch for hot spots.

An investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
