LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- While residents are heading home, miles away in Las Vegas, neighbors are hoping for a quick cleanup.
Debris from carpenter one has made its way down the mountain and is now causing headaches for drivers. News 3's John Treanor spoke to frustrated residents.
They live more than 20 miles away from the Carpenter one firebut the damage is in their front yards.
Piles of debris, dust, silt, some two or three feet tall line some neighboring streets.
One such mess is off of Farm Road in Las Vegas. Ash from the fire clogged up the Kyle Canyon basin in North Las Vegas.
Neighbors tell us it was a brown river. Now it’s a hazard that city and county crews are working to clean up.
We're told that cleanup could take another week.
