LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- The General Services Administration official who was in charge of organizing the lavish Las Vegas conference in 2010 apparently plans to keep quiet.

Jeff Neely was served a subpoena Thursday by U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., to appear in front of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. But he's expected to invoke the Fifth Amendment privilege.

He is also facing a criminal investigation by the Justice Department. It has been asked to review possible contracting improprieties and other violations in connection to the conference.

The conference cost taxpayers more than $830,000.
