LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- We are getting an in-depth look inside the mobile home where three small children were killed in a raging fire last June.
Their parents now behind bars charged with second degree murder and child neglect. News 3's Marissa Mike has more on this tragic story.
News 3 got hold of the pictures used by prosecutors to convince a grand jury to send the parents to trial.
The pictures were taken hours after the deadly inferno and they show just how powerful that fire was inside the home.
Perhaps what was most troubling was how close the parents' bed was to the children’s bed, begging the question -- was enough done by the parents to try and save the 3 small kids?
It was a fire so intense, three small children didn't stand a chance that June morning.
The charred remnants of an adult bed sits inches away from the day bed where children David, Skylar and Aryana slept. All three under the age of three.
Hours after the fire police took pictures of 22-year old father Shane Gouilahardou with his eyes still shut from the pain of the smoke.
His hands are bruised and neighbors said he tried to break a window to rescue the children.
The mother, now his ex girlfriend, Amy Hatzenpiller, 26, shows no visible injuries.
Both parents claimed they were sleeping when the fire started. A Metro detective testified both adults admitted taking Methamphetamine the night before.
