LAS VEGAS (KSNV & MyNews3) -- Ammar Harris' defense attorney tried to have a family member of one of the strip shooting victims removed from the courtroom on Friday.
Harris' attorneys feel Tehran Boldon may taint the jury.
This stemmed from something that happened Thursday.
Harris' attorney David Schieck told the judge they had one of their investigators follow Tehran Boldon around and heard him talking on the phone about the strip shooting near a juror.
Tehran is the brother of cab driver Michael Boldon who died after ken cherry's Maserati crashed in to his cab.
Schieck told the judge he recommended having Boldon removed from the courtroom or formally warned about his behavior.
The judge declined to do that and felt the juror who was wearing headphones at the time, had not been tainted.
News 3 spoke to Boldon after and he told us he was cautioned to be careful by the bailiff and says this case is too important to him and he will respect the process.
The trial then resumed. We heard a lot of testimony from detectives today about the sexual assault case against Harris.
The state is trying to prove Ammar Harris is a pimp and that his lifestyle led to the crime.
The defense argues the sex was consensual and that being a pimp has nothing to do with this case.
