LAS VEGAS – The governing boards of the
Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and the North Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce announced that the transaction to combine the organizations is final.
The chambers have officially joined together, moving forward as a strong, dynamic organization in support of businesses that comprise the combined membership.
The North Las Vegas office will continue to stay open and a North Las Vegas advisory council will work to ensure that core events and programs of the North Las Vegas Chamber – ones that have focused on small business and military affairs – will continue to serve members.
North Las Vegas members will be automatically consolidated with the Las Vegas Chamber, providing immediate eligibility for all Las Vegas Chamber benefits at comparable levels of membership. These include such benefits as the highly utilized Health Plan for businesses between two to 50 employees, the Office Depot Discount program, the Customer Service Excellence program, Public Policy committees, high-visibility events and exhibitions at Preview Las Vegas and Business Expo, and access to the Las Vegas Chamber’s complimentary Business Center.
“North Las Vegas is an important part of the economic future of the Southern Nevada metropolitan area. The coming together of these two long-standing organizations signals a solid, cohesive association that will promote and protect businesses that operate in the North valley, and will work successfully in partnership with others to support a healthy economy throughout the region,” said Las Vegas Chamber Chairman Kevin Orrock, North Las Vegas Chamber Chairman Mike PeQueen, and Las Vegas Chamber President Kristin McMillan in a joint statement.
“From the get go, it will give members access to a wider array of benefits, will strengthen the effort to advocate for the protection of jobs and the businesses that are creating them, and will provide greater opportunities for businesses and their employees to connect and do business together.”
