LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) -- The Las Vegas Ski and Snow Resort celebrated their fiftieth opening this weekend. They also have more reason to celebrate -- millions of dollars’ worth of renovations to the park.
The owners have completely re-done parts of their lodges. They added 14 new lifts and doubled the size of skiable area.
General Manager Kevin Stickelman says the regulars got a kick out of the changes.
“We had some people with their eyes pop out of their head when they saw the new restaurant and when they saw the new locker-room facilities,” Stickelman said. “They’ve not seen the new ski terrain because we need actual snow to access some of that. But I know they’re going to be just as amazed when the new trails open.”
If you missed the grand opening weekend, you still have all the way until Easter weekend to hit the powder.
