Tonight News 3 continues its personal profiles of the front runners in the race for mayor of North Las Vegas.
Former state senator John Lee says he will challenge current mayor Shari Buck, because the people of North Las Vegas are demanding change.
Tonight, the local businessman speaks bluntly about a city he says has been ostracized from its neighbors and his plan to get it back on track.
“The day I'm mayor there will be a new message sent through-out this valley," Lee said. "We're part of the region now. We're not in our little sandbox over here. We're going to do things big and we're going to do them regionally.”
John Lee says he is on a mission to become the next mayor of North Las Vegas.
“My first goal will be to bring back people in the valley who just refuse to do work in NLV because of the current leadership and the way city hall is operating,” Lee said. “They're scared of it, they're staying away from it. When there's a new sheriff in town I'll be able to bring back those people back to our community.
