LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on Aug. 3 received a call before noon from a concerned parent who reported her daughter missing from the apartment complex they lived on.
Patrol officers responded to the call and went to the apartment complex located at the 6600 block of West Washington but were unable to locate the juvenile.
A family member saw the juvenile fleeing from an apartment at 2:30 a.m. The victim reported being kidnapped and sexually assaulted at gunpoint.
Patrol officers responded to the scene and were able to locate and detain 24-year-old Joshua Davenport, a resident of that apartment.
- After an extensive investigation by sexual assault detectives, Davenport was arrested and charged with: Sexual assault victim under 14 (four counts),
- Sexual assault with a deadly weapon (four counts),
- Lewdness with a minor,
- Battery with intent to commit sexual assault, and
- Kidnapping
It is believed that Joshua Davenport may have been involved in other criminal activity throughout the valley. His booking photo accompanies this release.
