LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A 54-year-old man facing charges in Arizona in the slaying of his ex-girlfriend has taken a plea deal on the stabbing of another woman he met in Las Vegas through an online dating service.

Wade Mitchell Ridley pleaded an equivalent of no contest Thursday in Clark County District Court to charges of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and armed robbery.

Ridley told police he hid in Mary Ann Beckman's garage before the January 21 attack in Las Vegas. He faces six to 70 years in prison at sentencing Dec. 1.

In Phoenix, Ridley is accused of robbing and stabbing 62-year-old Anne Simenson in early February.

Authorities say he was driving Simenson's car when he was arrested Feb. 14 in Las Vegas.
