Man, woman critical after rollover on West Charleston

LAS VEGAS (KSNV -- A man and a women are in critical condition at UMC Trauma today after their small SUV rolled over on West Charleston Boulevard and hit a palm tree in the center median.

Metro Watch Commander Lt. Les Lane said the accident happened at 9:06 a.m. near West Charleston and Cahlan Drive.

Metro investigators reported Sunday afternoon that for unknown reasons, a 2007 Kia Rio traveled onto a raised center median and then struck a mature palm tree. The Kia overturned after impact with the tree and came to rest on the passenger side. 

Michele Joseph, 23, was the driver and James Hall, 20, was the passenger. Both are from Las Vegas.

The collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigation Section..
