The manhunt for the killer in the strip expands across the country. Detectives tell News 3 they don't know where 26-year-old Ammar Harris is but vow they'll catch him. Harris is now facing three counts of murder for the deaths of Kenny Cherry Jr., Michael Boldon and Sandi Sutton. News 3's Sergio Avila was briefed by detectives on Monday.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV MyNews3) --
The manhunt continues for the shooter who caused Thursday's carnage on the Las Vegas Strip that ended up with three people dead.

Police identified Ammar Harris, 26, as the man they believe pulled the trigger and located the black Range Rover at his home at an apartment complex off Flamingo and Paradise.

Police say Harris has an extensive criminal history, including charges of sexual assault, robbery, kidnapping and other charges police say are associated with prostitution.

A source close to the investigation says officers found shell casings that match those used in the shooting and paperwork linking Harris to the Range Rover.

Police say they believe Harris and the driver of the Maserati who was killed, Kenny Cherry Jr., got into a fight in the valet area at the Aria as they were leaving an after-hours party there.

A car chase ensued down the boulevard, followed by the shooting that led to the massive chain-reaction crash.

The Maserati crashed into a cab, which exploded, killing the driver, Michael Bolden, 62, of Las Vegas, and his passenger, Sandra Sutton-Wasmund, 48, of Maple Valley, Wash.

"Snitches get stitches", right? Isn't that the code that all you "mental midgets" out there subscribe to? If I were you I'd turn this worthless punk in or burn with him. FYI, when "loyal" family members and friends harbor these piece of excrement and go to jail for it, most of us laugh.....Uncontrollably!

Wait a minute, seriously: If he was arrested just LAST YEAR for sexual assault, robbery, kidnapping, and pandering, what on God's Green Earth was he doing on the street? Not to mention being arrested for drugs and battery in Atlanta "time and time again" in Atlanta before that. Most of these crimes are the most violent things a person can do except murder, and now he has crossed that line as well, 3x. I'm assuming he had multiple warrants for failure to appear since he was a free man despite his 2012 record.

Everyone that had anything to do with letting this scum bag out of jail with his extensive record should be brought up on charges for the deaths of these innocent people!

I am sure this guy has lots of places to hide. You get better at it each time after a stint in jail. Jail does two things for criminals, teaches them to be smarter about committing crimes and makes them more brazen each time. Repeat offenders should never be let out of jail! We need a nation wide 3 strikes law with a fast track on the 3rd offense to the death chamber! Watch how fast crime goes down afterwards. On this scum bags where abouts, try Chicago or Mexico or any other high crime ghetto area that police avoid!
